Kyiv and its Western allies are planning attacks on ships in the Baltic Sea and exiled Kremlin critics in an effort to blame Moscow and hinder Ukraine peace talks, Russias Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) declared Tuesday.The alleged false-flag operations are focused on avoiding the launch of a tranquil settlement process for the war in Ukraine, the SVR said.It claimed Ukraines special services could utilize Russian-made naval mines to detonate a foreign-flagged vessel in the Baltic Sea, triggering NATO to prohibit Russian ships from browsing in the region.Kyivs objective is to draw the alliance into a direct armed dispute with Russia, the spy firm said.The SVR likewise declared that Ukraines Defense Ministry and European intelligence services could recruit crooks to assault exiled opposition figures or businesspeople getting away criminal prosecution.In case of arrest, the perpetrator would blame the Russian unique services for apparently purchasing these attacks, the SVR said.There was no instant comment from Ukraine or its Western allies about the allegedfalse-flag operations.It was not instantly possible to confirm theSVRs claims.
